2010 LS OUTLAW RADIAL


CLASS DESCRIPTION

LS Outlaw Radial is a heads-up class designed for street legal type cars from a major manufacturer using approved radial tires only. Cars will qualify on a .400 Pro-Tree and eliminations will run on a Pro ladder. Courtesy staging and autostart will be in effect.

BODY

Stock body lines must be retained. MUST BE STOCK APPEARING. Chopping, channeling, sectioning, or any other alterations to contour, lengthen, shorten, widen, stretch, or modify any area strictly prohibited. Fiberglass body panels, hood, bumpers, deck lid and inner fenders are allowed ONLY. Forward facing hood scoops are allowed. Factory Grill and headlights required. Stock factory floor pans required to reach the rear most point of door jam. Aftermarket wings and spoilers are allowed.

INTERIOR

Full interior required. This includes stock appearing dash and dash pad, and carpet. Passenger and rear seats are optional only if exposed area is carpeted. Dash pad may be notched for roll bar clearance.

WINDSHIELD/WINDOW

OEM glass or lexan windows are permitted. No visible fasteners.

SUSPENSION/CHASSIS

Stock front frame rails and suspension required. Aftermarket control arms and bushings allowed as long as they bolt in stock locations. Rack and Pinion steering allowed. Aftermarket coil over shocks allowed and aftermarket direct replacement struts are allowed, but must bolt in stock location with the exception of aftermarket K-member. In the case of K-member cars, the upper control arm must bolt in stock location, but the K-member and lower control arms must still be removable. After market bolt in sub-frame allowed. Must bolt in unaltered stock OEM mounting locations. OEM suspension configuration required. Bolt on sub-frames must be from a manufacturer with designated company part numbers and must be produced for the vehicle they were designed for from the manufacturer. Cross member may be notched for oil pan clearance.
Stock style, bolt-in rear suspension allowed. Coilovers are allowed. Wheelie bars are not allowed. 4 links are allowed.

WHEELBASE

Vehicles must retain factory dimension.

RIDE HEIGHT

4" Minimum in front of front tires

FIREWALL

Stock firewall must be retained and in stock location. Notching for clearance of bell housing, distributor, supercharger or inter-cooler allowed. Smoothing of firewall for appearance is allowed. No part of engine may touch stock position firewall.

ENGINE

Any LS-based engine combination and power adders is allowed. Engine must be in stock location. Motor plates and solid mounts allowed. Mufflers required for all cars except turbocharged entries. Turbo exhaust should be directed toward rear of car. All Nitrous bottles to be to outside of driver’s compartment or ventilated outside the driver’s compartment.
Dual power adders are allowed.

TRANSMISSION

Any OEM type automatic or manual transmissions allowed. Aftermarket heavy-duty cases allowed. . Air shifters and trans-brakes are allowed.

FUEL

Gasoline only is permitted. Alcohol is prohibited.

ELECTRICAL

Stock headlights and tail lights are required and must be functional. Bracket racing aids, such as optical sensors, delay boxes and electrical or pneumatic throttle stops are not allowed. Progressive nitrous controllers and data recorders allowed.

TIRES

All cars must compete on one of the following mass produced Drag Radial tires with the following sidewall designation.
275/60, 295/65, 325/50 or 315/60

SUPERCHARGERS

Any type intercooler is permitted. Roots superchargers are limited to a 10-71. Centrifugal superchargers are permitted.

NITROUS OXIDE:

Single stage fogger or two plate nitrous systems are allowed. Entries are limited to 1 fuel solenoid, 1 nitrous solenoid, and 1 purge solenoid. Purge must exit engine compartment.

FUEL

Gasoline only is permitted. Alcohol is prohibited.

Deep staging will be allowed at driver’s risk. Cars must cross scales after every qualifying and elimination pass. Tow-backs are allowed. Electrical stock type headlights and tail lights required and must be functional. All NHRA safety rules, license and chassis requirements are in effect.

 

2010 LS CAMARO SHOWDOWN

CLASS DESCRIPTION

LS Camaro Showdown is a heads-up class designed for 2010 and newer Chevrolet Camaro's and 2008 and newer Pontiac G8's. Cars will qualify on a .400 Pro-Tree and eliminations will run on a Pro ladder. Courtesy staging and autostart will be in effect.
